Policy

Terms of Service

Please review these terms before using our website, booking an appointment, or visiting our Edmonton hair colour studio.

Effective date: May 15, 2026

Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the La Belle Couleur, Inc. website and to appointments, consultations, and salon services provided by La Belle Couleur, Inc. ("La Belle Couleur," "we," "us," or "our") in Edmonton, Alberta.

By using our website, contacting us, booking an appointment, or receiving services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or book services with us.

Our Services

La Belle Couleur is a hair salon focused on professional hair colouring, including consultations, balayage, blonding, colour correction, root touch-ups, glosses, toners, and related hair services. Service availability, timing, pricing, and suitability depend on your hair history, current hair condition, desired result, stylist assessment, and appointment availability.

Information on our website is provided for general salon and service information only. It is not medical advice and should not replace advice from a physician, dermatologist, allergist, or other qualified professional.

Consultations and Hair History

Accurate hair history is essential for colour services. You agree to provide complete and truthful information about previous colour, lightener, box dye, henna, chemical treatments, medications or sensitivities that may affect your service, home care, and any known allergies or reactions.

We may recommend or require a consultation, strand test, allergy alert test, or multiple appointments before performing certain colour services. We may decline, postpone, or modify a service if we believe it may compromise your hair, scalp, safety, or expected result.

Colour Results and Service Limitations

Hair colour outcomes vary from person to person. Final results can be affected by natural colour, previous colour, porosity, hair condition, minerals, product buildup, styling habits, heat tools, home care, and other factors outside our control.

We will use professional judgment and reasonable care, but we cannot guarantee a specific colour, tone, lift level, correction result, or exact match to inspiration photos. Complex changes, blonding, and colour corrections may require multiple sessions and ongoing maintenance.

Appointments, Deposits, and Cancellations

Appointment requests are not confirmed until accepted by us or through our approved booking process. We may require a deposit, card hold, or other booking requirement for certain services. Any deposit, cancellation, no-show, or rescheduling policy communicated at booking applies to your appointment.

Please arrive on time. If you are late, we may need to shorten, reschedule, or cancel your appointment to respect other guests and salon scheduling. Repeated late cancellations, no-shows, or missed appointments may affect future booking availability.

Pricing and Payment

Prices shown online or discussed before an appointment are estimates unless expressly confirmed otherwise. Final pricing may vary based on hair length, density, product use, service complexity, correction work, additional treatments, and time required.

Payment is due at the time services or products are provided. Taxes, gratuities, deposits, fees, and third-party payment processing terms may apply where applicable.

Adjustments and Product Purchases

If you have a concern about a service, please contact us promptly so we can review the matter. Any adjustment request must be assessed by the salon and may depend on the original consultation, the service performed, hair condition, timing, aftercare, and whether any third-party or at-home colour or chemical service was applied after your visit.

Product return or exchange eligibility, if any, will be handled according to the policy communicated at purchase and applicable law.

Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • provide accurate contact, booking, and hair history information;
  • tell us about allergies, sensitivities, scalp concerns, or relevant health issues;
  • follow preparation and aftercare guidance provided by the salon;
  • treat staff, guests, and property respectfully; and
  • avoid using our website or services for unlawful, abusive, or disruptive purposes.

Minors

Clients under the age of majority in Alberta may need consent from a parent or guardian before receiving certain services. We may refuse or postpone a service for a minor if appropriate consent is not provided.

Photos and Social Media

We may ask to photograph or record hair results for consultation notes, portfolio use, marketing, or social media. We will seek your permission before using identifiable images for public promotional purposes. You may withdraw permission for future use by contacting us, subject to legal limits and content already published or distributed.

Website Use and Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, images, branding, service descriptions, layout, and design elements, is owned by or licensed to La Belle Couleur and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view the website for personal, non-commercial use only.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, scrape, or use our website content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Third-Party Services

Our website or booking process may link to third-party websites, booking tools, maps, payment processors, social platforms, or other services. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, availability, policies, or practices.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our website and services are provided without warranties except those that cannot be excluded under applicable law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or services.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including obligations under Alberta consumer protection laws.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable in Alberta. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in Alberta, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
